So it does look as if the Rosses/ Gweedore areas of Dobegal would be your best starting point, but you really need to try to find evidence from US sources of exactly where your O'Donnells & McGees came from ass records in Donegal are v. poor - perhaps naturalisation papers, death certs, obituaries or whatever.
