Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/oI4.2ACIB/823 Message Board Post: Catherine O'Donnell, my g-grandmother, married Michael O'Brien probably about 1855-6-7 for they first appear in the US upon the birth of their first child, my grandfather, John William O'Brien on Feb 13, 1858 at Wyandotte, KS. ( today's Kansas City). This family traveled the West working in the gold mines during the ensuing years, Idaho, Colorado (Cripple Creek-Leadville) and Catherine died in Washington State. I do not know if they were born in Ireland or the US or where they entered the US but suspect they married in Ireland and entered at New Orleans. Further, I think Michael was from Cork and Catherine was from Cork or Kerry. I realize this is a real longshot to make a connecton, but as Ben Franklin said, " Nothing ventured, nothing gained".
