To all List and Digest Members - All I want for Christmas (from you) is an UNSUBSCRIBE message if you are going to be gone for the holidays. If you leave your account in a SUBSCRIBED mode your mailbox may become filled and that means my mailbox will get filled up with notices that your mail couldn't be delivered. each and every time a note is posted to the List. With a few hundred subscribers to each of the lists that I maintain it won't take long because I won't be here to delete them all. Yep, I'm going away for the holidays too and I am going to unsubscribe myself from all the lists that I belong to. I'll just send a subscribe notice to reinstate myself when we get home. To unsubscribe from any list that you may belong to, send a note to [listname]-L-Request@RootsWeb.com with the word "unsubscribe" in the subject and text lines. Don't include anything else in the body of the message. You will get an unsubscribe verification in the mail. I will just leave my notices in my in-box and they will serve as a great reminder to resubscribe when I get back. To subscribe, just send a note to the same address and use the word "subscribe" and you'll be back on the list. A couple of notes: 1. I know you're not silly enough to use the quote marks and brackets in the examples above but I just had to mention it. 2.
