In Upper Cruit household number 16 was as follows: Head: John O'Donnell, age 65, farmer Wife Mary, 55 Children: Hugh, 28 Hannah, 20 Annie, 18 Dominick, 15 Nephew: John O'Donnell, 6 Of the 31 households in Upper Cruit, 10 were Gallagher & 7 0'Donnell. Next door to John & Mary O'Donnell was a Mary Gallagher aged 80, perhaps Mary's mother?? My gt-gt-unlce Patrick O'Donnell was at household number 23. I am still querying whether that John O'Donnell may be on our family tree as I have now three family weddings on my O'Donnell side witnessed by a John O'Donnell, latest 1900, and he is about the only one in the vicinity. I'm hoping to go over to Cruit this July, if you have anything I could ask about. Marie

I mentioned the McGonigle foreman at Standard Oil was son of Andrew - the Andrew on Griffiths was his father. The Owey McGonagles came originally from Fanad, and just to add to the confusion those who stayed there anglicised their name McConigly. Keadue and Inishfree Lower are of course very close to Owey and those Andrews may well be connected. But there again, of course, maybe not. Marie

Thought I would try posting this again. We always thought Michael's name was James but on a death certificate we have Michael and Mary E. Dundeen or Dindeen- but we think it was Dineen as on the back of a photo it is Mary Dineen. Michael or his son James started and/or worked at an asbestos pipe covering business. This was listed on the death certificate of James. We know nothing of Mary Harrigan. Even her death certificate lists no parents,- very depressing. I am looking through ship records. The daughter Alice Faye we were told was born in Ireland. On a census it has her born in NY but that doesn't coincide with dates of when they arrived. Hope to hear from some long lost "cousins" soon! My family tree of O'Donnells has two generations of O'Donnells in NYC/Brooklyn, and being married in St. Patricks Cathedral. They were married in St. Pat's around 1860 (I don't have the exact dates at hand right now.) It sounds like we might have a connection. WOuld love to exchange more info in detail. --- oakauto@worldnet.att.net wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to > this mailing list. > > Surnames: Hunt,Duffy,Walsh,Odonnell,Wiener,Leyden > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/oI4.2ACIB/803 > > Message Board Post: > > Looking for family of John Odonnell who Married Rose > Duffy in early 1900s.
