    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: O'Donnell Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/oI4.2ACIB/825 Message Board Post: I have just started to trace my O'Donnell family tree (on my mums side) and wondered if anyone had information on Michael O'Donnell born approx 1866, as 35 in 1901 census. He would have been in the Kiladysert area, more specifically Kilfiddane and more exact Shanahea. I feel he must be related to me as Shanahea is my mums family home, where she grew up, my cousin (funnily named michael O'Donnell) lives there at the moment. I would be grateful of any information on the O'Donnells of Co. Clare even if not thought relevant as my relatives still live there and yet i notice most emigrated. feel free to e-mail me at claireq2001@aol.com Thanks for your time.Claire.

    1. Catherine O'Donnell 1839-1910
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/oI4.2ACIB/823 Message Board Post: Catherine O'Donnell, my g-grandmother, married Michael O'Brien probably about 1855-6-7 for they first appear in the US upon the birth of their first child, my grandfather, John William O'Brien on Feb 13, 1858 at Wyandotte, KS. ( today's Kansas City). This family traveled the West working in the gold mines during the ensuing years, Idaho, Colorado (Cripple Creek-Leadville) and Catherine died in Washington State. I do not know if they were born in Ireland or the US or where they entered the US but suspect they married in Ireland and entered at New Orleans. Further, I think Michael was from Cork and Catherine was from Cork or Kerry. I realize this is a real longshot to make a connecton, but as Ben Franklin said, " Nothing ventured, nothing gained". Just kkkiddding. Al O'Brien
