Where did most of the O'Connor famine immigrants originate, especially in the early part of the potato famine exodus from Ireland. My gggrandfather Thomas arrived in Milwaukee in 1847 and his naturalization papers show that as his port of entry. Canada did not keep track of immigrants coming up the St Lawrence River so there is no record of his entry. Because of the above I must try some top down genealogy by trying to start from where came from. Any in put will be most welcome. Keith Porter Reno
