    1. Re: County Kerry Place Names
    2. MICHAEL O'CONNOR
    3. I have been following all the messages that Dona so kindly has sent to the list regarding Kerry baptisms from O'Keife etc. I have noticed the same problem that Barry is now querying, that is are the "towns" mentioned by Dona and Barry actual towns or are they just townlands in civil parishes? Like Barry, I cannot find any towns on my map of Ireland which seems to show even small villages which, if you blink whilst driving, you miss them! :-) Barry, I would suggest that you scurry off in haste to your nearest LDS (Mormon Church) Family History Centre and look up the Griffith's Valuations for County Kerry (use the index prepared by the National Library in Dublin which is on microfilm in the LDS FHC) and see if you can identify if any O'CONNOR/CONNORS/CONNOR is recorded in those places you mention. Please report back to the list so that we will all know that these are townlands and not towns/villages. Hope all on the list have a very happy Christmas and all good health in the New Year. Regards Mike >Would anyone be familiar with any of the following places in county Kerry: >Moulinabrien, Rushfin, Innishfin, or Diryndaraugh? Each is associated withe >birth of a family member.
