    2. Thank you for the interest in the Calendar. Based on the response it is back on the OCONNOR-L. The source of most of the information is the celtic League American Branch (CLAB). They sell this calendar plus they have in the past published a journal of Celtica, things like Gaelic speaking in North America. Until the early 1960's there were still Gaelic speakers in several towns in New Foundland and there is a body of Gaelic literature and song (mind you, not very large) developed in Canada. My MacDougall ancestors in Nova Scotia were speakers. Today is St. Yves Day. He is the patron saint of the Bretons. In 1692 the French invasion fleet in support of James VII was defeated at the Battle of Cape Barfleur. In 1795 James Boswell, Scottish biographer of Samuel Johnson, died.
