My g-g-grandfather, Peter O'Conner, immigrated from Ireland with his brothers James and John in 1846. My late grandmother insisted that Peter entered the country at either Virginia or Maryland. He and James settled in Montgomery County GA. I'm disabled, so my search is pretty much limited to the Internet. At this point, I've found no ships going to either VA or MD from any British or Irish port in 1846. Does anyone know of ships that year? DebbieLynne [email protected]
