They lived in Boston, then moved to Woburn, MA, in 1880's-90's....Children: Margaret, Catherine, Johanna, Julia, Charles, William, Thomas, Nellie (Ellen) and John. (Two of their sons were killed in WWI) Have little to go on to identify Timothy O'Connor and Julia SULLIVAN's parents. >> Do you know their address in Boston or Woburn, or if they left a will? Having a house address for my ggparents was a way to find out some interesting leads. I went to Dedham, MA where old and new deeds for property are kept. The ones I was looking for were in some wonderful handwritten books in the basement. I was able to see who they bought the house from, when they passed the deed down to their children, and, eventually, the probate records showing ggfather's worldly possessions at the time of his death in 1885. For a gggrandfather in Hingham, I found a very interesting handwritten will in Plymouth, MA, where those town records are kept. I am guessing that you are looking for links back to Ireland. This route might not take you there, but it very well could. You might at least find their parents names in the documents, especially if one of them was involved in the purchase and sale of a house. From my experience, many family members got their names on the deeds. Call the town hall in Woburn and find out where the deeds, histories of a street address, and probate records for Woburn are kept, same for Boston. I'd start in Woburn because it's easier to find information in smaller towns, and to find something in Boston you probably need the most facts. I've only dealt with addresses in small town surrounding Boston. You need to check the census records if you haven't already. If you find Timothy and Julia listed in a household you might also see same names of older people in the household who might be their parents. Pat
