    2. I am going through Seamas MacManus',The Story of the Irish Race, and came up with a few more events for An Bhealtaine. On May 12, 1652, the Articles of Kilkenny were signed by the Parliamentary Commission and the Earl of West Meath to end the Cromwellian war. It was decreed that after May 1, 1654, under penalty of death no Irish man, woman or child was to be found east of the River Shannon. Talk about ethnic cleansing. Back to todays date, cuig deag An Bhealtaine: In 1765 Mischief Bill received royal assent crown lands English customs officers on Mann to prevent "smuggling" between Ireland and the British Isles through Mann. In 1867 Eoin MacNeill, Irish nationalist was born. In 1993 Alan al Louarn, Breton patriot, died. Question: Are Manx cats born without tails, or does someone have to give the Manx tail a few yanx??
