Perhaps I need to clarify this info on the mortality schedules. Mortality schedules are census records kept for the year prior to the regular census. It covers the time peroid of for instance May 31, 1869 to June 1, 1870. So these are for one year peroids only. So the info I have covers only 1849-1850 1859-1860 1869-1870 1879-1880 I have recieved help for both the O'Connor and Goodwin list and hope to have these on a web site soon. Database for Goodwin is ready to go and we are working on it, thanx HERB I'm entering the O'Connor/Var today, but will wait until I have also extracted Connor/Var . They will be combined. I have 2 offers to help with it. I will acceppt both on a temporary basis, I 'm working with one to see if I can get it on my web site, another has offered to put it on her website. Thanx, BECKY and MARY !! I do recommend that if you locate an ancestor on these lists that you order the originals, some have information regarding next of kin, who notified a doctor, etc about the deaths. Sometimes this can help you in your searches. Also look at the State of birth and see if there is a possible name before checking the State of death. the abreviation CD = Canada '' '' '' '' IR= Ireland US= don't know where they were born, but in the states OA= Haven't figured it out yet, any ideas ? the cause of death inanition = insane, empty (as per 1928 dictonary) PS: I have really enjoyed these mailing lists, not too many problems, I've never had to ban anyone and we all tolerate each others sometimes weird spelling. I know I think a heck of a lot faster than I type and I have to remember to re-read what I think I wrote. I'm very happy that we have not had any wars like they have had on the Ontario list. That is one troubled list. I am a firm believer in "just delete it if you don't like it". Also you have probably noticed that only ONE spam got thru since the new filters went in. If you don't already belong to Rootsweb, consider it. They are the ones bringing you all the lists you belong to ( well at least 98% of them). Good luck, Ley K. O'Connor Ley K.
