Seeking information on Michael Connor (1866) & Kate Morris (or Morrisey) who married about 1886 in County Kerry, Ireland. Family resided in Templenoe/Reem/Moulidireen/Dereendarragh area. Is there someone who knows of this family or would be willing to help with searching baptismal records at the local Catholic Church, I would really be appreciative. Any information on this family, the Church of Kenmare, or the Templenoe/Reem region would be greatly received.

Gators answer, Thanx << Some reasons why Santa could never be a woman... - The gifts would come on December 26th because Santa needed all of Christmas to get her make-up and hair done. - Kids would have to replace cookies and milk for Santa with costly Godiva chocolates and champagne. - Santa might brake a nail going down the chimney. - She would need 20 sleds and 160 reindeer to carry her bags for the trip. Oh yea, and 1 more for the gifts. - Santa would have to stop at ever gas station to ask for directions. and finally... - Santa's workshop would be replaced with Macy's, Nordstroms, and Saks 5th Avenue charge cards and the whole Santa organization would go bankrupt from excessive charges after Christmas. This male retaliation is in good fun... Enjoy the holidays ahead! >>

I believe that my great-great grandfather was David O'Connor from Kerry. He was married to Mary Gleason. They had at least one child, William David (my great grandfather). They would have would have lived in Kerry during the 1840's and 1850's. According to Griffiths Valuation there were five David O'Connors. They were from: Cahersiveen Townland, Cahersiveen Town, Killarney Town, and 2 from Tralee Town. I am trying to determine which David is from my line. Does anyone have a David O'Connor in their line that might be a match. Thanks.
This is to each of you. 1998 GenQuest Genealogy Survey Dear Fellow Genealogist, For the past two years GenQuest, Inc. has conducted a survey of Genealogists using the internet and as 1998 comes to a close we would like to conduct this years. If you have a couple of minutes we invite you to participate in this years. The goal is to conduct the same exact survey three years in a row with the same questions in order to have a reliable set of data. The results of which will be made publicly available to anyone, organization or website that requests it. The survey is available at http://www.genquest.com/survey.html I believe two questions will arise in the minds of those who read this request: 1). Since spamming(receiving unsolicted E-mail) is a serious problem, is this some way of getting my E-mail address. The answer is NO. No where in the survey is your E-mail address or identity asked for. After you fill it out and submit it you get a thank you message. I am quoting the header of a recent submission so that you may seen the information we receive: "Subject: GenQuest: Survey Date: Mon, 30 Nov 1998 11:01:01 -0500 From: "Genquest Web Site" <[email protected]> To: [email protected]" 2). Why does such a survey need to be conducted? According to the December 1995 AmeriPoll survey almost half of America is involved in genealogy research to some degree, and I suspect that is is the same in Canada and Western Europe. With so many persons doing genealogy, there should be reliable data that any person, genealogical society/organization, software maker, or entity, which provides support to our research efforts. Currently there is no body of information. If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to E-mail me. Sincerely, Ron Maloney GenQuest, Inc.
