Does anyone know of a town in County Tipperary by the name of Ballyvaden ? This is the best I can come up with after looking at a 100 yr. old headstone. This is the burial site of William Connors [orig. O'Connor] born 1822. My map doesn't show it . Will sincerely appreciate your help. Brian Connors...Wisconsin
Hi! I'm new to this list and this is my first query. I'm searching for information on William Connor (Conner) who lived in Bibb County Alabama. He married Esther Ann Ingraham in 1858 and a son, Louis Robert Connor, was born to them in 1860. Sometime in the early 1860's he committed suicide, or so I'm told. Esther later remarried and had a family by Burel Mize. My problem is that I can't find any information concerning William Connor's parents, so I guess I'm facing a brick wall. Any thing you can help me with will be greatly appreciated.
Jeff There was a Matilda Connor, age 22,[ from Ballykelly] who went to St.John. Departed from Tamlaghfiniagan 1833 or 1834. Also,a Mary Connor was on ship Stephen Whitney from Liverpool to N.Y..April 6 , 1846. Good Luck, Brian Connors, Wisconsin
Quite a few Conner Marriages here. Ley http://tn-3.rootsweb.com/~marce/ncarolina/index.html
I am trying to get more information about a Patrick Conner and wife Sarah. Both emigrated to Canada from Ireland (though perhaps not the same time). They presumably married in Canada, and had their children there. Mary Conner, wife of Joseph Carr was born in Collingwood and married in Arkincana Ontario. The marriage certificate lists both the parentage of Joseph and Mary. So, a Patrick Connor born in Ireland about 1814, emigrated probably around 1840s. I would love to discover where Patrick and Mary came from in Ireland. St. Patrick's day reminded me that I should be working harder to find the ancestral grounds of the Connor and McCormick families. I would also be interested in the course taken by Matilda and Samuel Connor. Matilda went with Mary to Cheboygan. Samuel may have stayed in Canada. Hi- Are you missing a John O'CONNOR, because I found him and he is buried in St. John's Cem, Middle Village, NY. I had expected to find my gr grandmother buried here, but instead did find my gr grandfather, Fred THOUROT, and this John O'CONNOR, age 60, interred 24 Oct, 1926. I have no idea who he is, but the plot was registered under my g grandmother, Mrs Fred McKENNA THOUROT. So, hoping with the Luck of the Irish, someone will know...........Happy St. Patrick's Day, J Also, visit my 4 personal home pages on spirituality and genealogy: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Crete/3718/

Does anyone on this list have any more information about the John Conner killed at Shiloh? My great-grandfather, Joseph C. Conner, who was born in MO but grew up in TX, returned to MO to join the Union's Company H, 2nd Regiment, Missouri Light Artillery from December 1863 to November 1865. Two of his brothers joined Texas Confederate units. All survived the war. I have no information on a fourth brother, John W. Conner, born 1838 in Missouri. Patti

This is the answer I recieved in answer to my question. It really doesn't answer it. It appears to me and others that the site was never available to the general public, or we would have all known about it, since the genealogy community is not closed mouthed about great sites. One wonders, then why this was such a tightly held secret until it "suddenly" it is announced and "just as suddenly" it is accessed by password only. Oh well, hopefully it will be very soon. Well, it's here, they are telling everyone, but you can't use it. YET. I have written for an explanation of why advertise something we can't use. Have not recieved an answer yet.
