Greetings, My name is Robin. I am looking for my O'Connell family history. I have searched just about every place I can to find any info with little or no luck yet. Maybe someone here can help me. I am looking for a Gregory Joseph O'Connell born Sept 2 1943, to Timothy and Violet (Downey) O'Connell. Birthplace believed to be in the Chicago area, or Lake County Illinois. Thoughts that the info I have is incorrect on the birthplace, I have just been informed that there is a New Chicago Indiana that is located in Lake County just a short drive from Chicago Ill. So I am lost again. Siblings are believed to be .... Donald, and Wayne or Dwayne, and a sister Phyllis. Gregory was married to Elsie Ruth Gale in Flagstaff, Az Sept 22, 1962. Divorced in 1965, believed in Orange County California. Last known location was Grants Pass Oregon, 1965-66. Occupation was auto body specialist, and then went into business with family Door and cabinet building. The whereabouts since have been totally unknown. I am almost believing that this is nothing more than a dead end trail. Unfortunately, I am missing something in my life...... this is my father. ~~~Robin O'Connell

Robin, Have you gotten the birth certificate of Gregory? it might be more helfpful to find onfo on the death certficate or obits on Violet. Amazing informs to be found n the actual birth and death certs., and I have really found this to betrue . Probability is that you are distant cousin, and thus, I pray God be with you, dear family. I will tell you all I know on the O'Connell family, which is not much.
