Hi, fellow Washingtonian, we live in Spokane, and are also searching O'Connells. I don't think we connect, but they sure are elusive. Our Maurice O'Connell was born in CO. Kerry, about 1822, and married Catherine Hunt about 1845. They had a daughter, Margaret, who was 6 months old when they sailed for Canada in 1847. She died and was buried at sea. They settled in Mara Twp, Simco CO, Ontario Canada. I was told by my Aunt, their granddaughter (she died 1989, at the age of 94) that Maurice was a direct descendent of Daniel O'Connell, but I sure can't prove it. All the Daniels, Johns, Maurices, Timothys, and Catherines, Nora's and so on. Maybe that were the only names they could spell.
