Oh,Kay.....If your looking for O'Connells in NY,you have your work cut out for you. It's like their everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Do you have any dates for your Mary?Mine was born in MA.Then to NY she came.Like I stated, all I have right now are names. And her birth date of 1881. Which is another problem.I got her birth reg.it came as 1881.On the 1920 census,it comes to be 1884,finally,when she died, her death cert.and tombstone say 1888.Ain't that a kick?My family stood in NY,however, you may want to check the web pages of the Brooklyn list, maybe you can locate a marriage cert.or something there.<A HREF="http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~blkyn/Bklyn.Info.Page.html">Cli ck here: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~blkyn/Bklyn.Info.Page.html</ A> http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~blkyn/Bklyn.Info.Page.html Well, actually, you'd have to wait a bit,the pages on marriages are only 1/2 way through the M's.But check the bits and pieces, they have some entrys for the Brooklyn Eagle paper you can check.Browse the whole site. It's all donated by the list members and has a lot of good stuff. I do have this one listing of a Mary Ann,you didn't say if it was her married or maiden name. Also,I don't know what time frame you need, but here goes. As listed on the 1875 marriage census that someone sent me... Mary Ann O'Connell age 24 and Michael O'Halloran age 27 married on January 16,1875(Hey,thats today for their anniversary!!!) Thats about all I know,I'm hoping someone can help me too :) I've got O"Connells,Moody's,O'Donoghues,Ryans,Sullivans,James'es, Hennings,Avent and I'm still trying to sort them out.Try a search engine with O'Connell, theres a few web sites out there you can check. ~*~ Maureen ~*~ < "I intend to live forever...so far,so good ">
