    3. Hi.... I am looking for the surname QUINLAN but have several Irish directives that have indicated that the McConnell name is what QUINLAN came from. I am Looking for my g5f Quincy W Quinlan b 1813 of Ireland and haven't found him at all. I've been told that his name isn't a common Irish name..... QW (and his family?) immigrated before 1834 as we have one of his children Harry Barnhart Quinlan b 1835 Huron Co, Ohio....we have not located him there yet. Do you have any Barnharts before 1835 that connect into your names in the Ohio, Penn, Ny Va areas??? I know this is alot to ask.....I'm trying to find the wall that will break thru. Thanks and Blessings PeggyO

    3. Several OCONNELL families moved West to Wisconsin in about the 1840s or 1850s. These seem to include the brothers Morris, Timothy, and Michael and possibly Tom or Dan. 1. O'CONNELL, Basil Morgan (writer)
    2. Walt Cottrell
    3. Does anyone have any idea how I might lay my hands on information about a writer by the name of Basil Morgan O'Connell? He wrote about various families, including the Deasy family from County Cork that I am researching. His name was mentioned in a book on Irish surnames, but no reference was given. The only Basil O'Connell I could find was in the SSDI with dates of 1913 - 1987 in ND, USA. I found one other reference in the Latter Day Saints catalog where he wrote about O'Connell land grants. That book was published 1946-1950 in Dublin by Brown and Nolan. Thanks, Walt
