    3. Mrs Margie M Austin, 80Margie M. AustinAnniston Star, The (AL) - Wednesday, March 10, 2010 Oxford AL United States Funeral service for Margie M. Austin, 80, of Oxford, will be 12 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Oxford with the Rev. Terry Bostick officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Austin died Monday at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, John W. Austin of Oxford; son, Freddy Lamar Williams and wife, Rachel, of Eufaula; stepson, Buddy Austin and wife, Sandi, of Conyers, Ga.; five grandchildren, Lori Holland and husband, Lamar, of Eufaula, DeeAnna Peck, of Jacksonville, Freddy Williams Jr., of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Leonard Austin and wife, Velda, of Social Circle, Ga. and Dr. Jennifer Austin, of Swainsea, Wales, Great Britain; six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Eunice Higginbotham and Shirley Willis, both of Anniston; four brothers, Harold Crossley, of Miami, Fla., Bobby Crossley, of Jacksonville, Jimmy Crossley, of Anniston and Gerald Crossley, of Oxford; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Keith Crossley, Brian Crossley, Brett Crossley, Lamar Holland, Freddy Williams Jr., Bret Benton and Leonard Austin. Mrs. Austin is preceded in death by husband, Reece Williams and sister, Sarah Brown. Mrs. Austin was a native of Calhoun County and a resident of Oxford. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford, Lydia Sunday School Class and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Margie Austin will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and caregiver. Her children, grandchildren and family were the delights of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the memory of Margie Austin, First Baptist Church of Oxford Building Fund, 95 E. Oak Street, Oxford, AL 36203.
