Hartley, retired civilian personnel director at the Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay, will be held at 9 a.m. today at the McCully Funeral Home, Mountain and Tick Neck roads in Pasadena. Mr. Hartley, who was 66, died Saturday of cancer at his home on Wharf Drive in Mount Pleasant Beach. He retired in 1981 after more than 30 years of service at the Coast Guard Yard. A native of Lonaconing, he served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II, attending Creighton University then serving as a bomber pilot in Europe. Later, he retired as a major in the Air Force Reserve. He served as chairman of the board and of the building committee of the Victory Bible Church and was a former chairman of the administrative board of the Community United Methodist Church and a former president of the Mount Pleasant Beach Improvement Association. He is survived by his wife, the former Geraldine Warrington; three sons, Gerald G. Hartley of Ohio, Maurice W. Hartley Jr. and Keith Edward Hartley, both of Pasadena; a daughter, Debra Bosse of Ellicott City; and six grandchildren. The gentleman I am searching for is Maurice William HARTLEY, according to the SSDI he died Nov 1990, the day is not listed. He would have been 66 years old, his birth was 1924.
