    2. According to his parents obituaries he died in 1991. There was nothing in the online newspapers, so I'd suggest you contact the Sharon Hills Memorial Park. If he's buried in the same cemetery as his parents, the cemetery will be able to give you the date of death.....Good luck, Alma Janet B. Records Funeral services for Janet B. Records, 73, of Dover, were held Saturday, June 17, in the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, Dover. Mrs. Records died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, in her home. Mrs. Records was born May 21, 1933, in Salisbury, Md., daughter of the late James K. Brittingham and Erma Kenney Brittingham. She worked for Delaware Auto Sales as a bookkeeper and for the Silver Lake Nursing Home in their social work department. She also held numerous positions in Kent County government, ending her career in the tax office. Mrs. Records was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and had chaired the bereavement committee and organized the bereavement meals. She was a longtime member of Circle 6 and had recently moved to Circle 4. She also was the mission coordinator for spiritual growth for the Wesley United Methodist Women and was on the worship committee for Wesley Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Troy D. Records, in 1991. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert A. Records of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Robert W. Jones of Dover; two grandsons, Christopher R. Jones and Brett R. Jones, both of Dover. Interment was in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Records, 77, of Dover, may call on the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 10. Mr. Records died Monday, July 6, 2009, at the home of his daughter. Born Aug. 24, 1931, on the family farm in Bacon Switch, near Laurel, son of the late Atla C. Records and Nettie A. Parsons Records. Mr. Records was a 1949 graduate of the Laurel High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, and later worked as a civil engineer at Dover Air Force Base for 30 years. Following his retirement, he worked for Kent County Counseling as a certified addiction counselor for 10 years, retiring in 2000. Mr. Records was a member and past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Delmar, Md,. and belonged to the Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover. He loved hunting, fishing and crabbing, and was a real outdoorsman and a great handyman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Janet Brittingham Records on June 14, 2006; his son, Troy D. Records in 1991; and his brother, Wilson Records. Mr. Records is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Robert Jones of Dover; two grandsons, Christopher Records-Jones and Brett Robert Jones; a brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Imogene Records of Lewes; a sister, Peggy Hill of Laurel; a friend who was like a daughter, Denise K. Schoen; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, west of Dover.
