My great great grandfather Francis (maybe called Frank) Frewen came to America to study painting. He enrolled in the Art Institute in Chicago. He was born 1830 Castleconnell, Limerick, Ireland. He brought his family and landed in New York staying there a short time. He had one son born in New York in 1856 so he went to Chicago after that time and he disappears by 1859. because 1860 his wife is alone a widow and has given up custody to the daughters and my grandfather to a girls home and the oldest son (my great grandfather) is living on his own as a new boy on the streets, sleeping in boxes covered with newspapers to stay warm. The youngest is with his mom and she remarries Charles H Carman in Chicago. Francis (Frank) Frewen 1830 to ca 1851. there may not be a stone because of her state of finances but I'm hoping there is a mention in a newspaper or something. Dora E Smith deanae@windstream.net
