I am hoping you can help me.  I requested a death certificate on Ira so that I could get a "real" death date and they tell me they can't find one in Kansas.     The census says he was born in Indiana on September, 1862.  And, the only record of his death is on his tombstone.  He was always known as "Ira Stacy Jones" but his marker says "Stacy Ira Jones".  When I asked...no one had ever heard anyone call him Stacy.   Mary Etta Jones was born in Sedan, Chautauqua County, Kansas on January 8, 1878 and died October 11, 1953 in a hospital in  Eureka, Kansas.   I found them both buried in Madison, Greenwood County, Kansas in the Blakely Cemetery: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=27772700&PIpi=11365797   I am hoping that a newspaper in Madison, Kansas (where they both lived for most of their life) has their obits.   Thank you in advance for checking this for me.  I know I haven't given you too much to go on and I know this will be a challenge.
