Horton of Boulder died of natural causes on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, in Boulder. He was 82. Born Dec. 10, 1921, San Francisco, he was the son of Alexander Levin and Juliette Figel Levin. He married Janice M. Tussing on May 20, 1960. He moved to Boulder from California in 1964. Mr. Horton was employed as a real estate investor and worked as a banker, a newspaper publisher, and as a producer and director in Hollywood in the 1950's. He was a world traveler, an avid reader, enjoyed collecting antique cars, and loved his cats and dogs. "Anyone who met Dick walked away a better person, and we will miss him," family members said. Survivors include his wife of Boulder; a son, Alex McGrath of Palo Alto, Calif.; two stepsons, Tom Stone of California and Ken Stone of Boulder; and a stepdaughter, Marsha Stone of Boulder; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A graveside service will be at Green Mountain Cemetery on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rabbi Jami Korngold officiating.
