There is no Jeffereson Jordan on any US census record. There is only one ref to him that is on family trees on rootsweb and says he was born after 1838.. It says nothing else. There is nothing on him in Hamilton county. Did somene fabricate his name ?? Hello. Thank you volunteers for doing the look-ups. This is my first request. I apologize,and I hope you can work with what I do have: Jefferson JORDAN was born between approximately1838 and 1848 in Roane County, TN. His parents were Elizabeth Phillips and Tom Jordan. His siblings were Emaline, b. 1835 in NC, Mary Catherine, Sarah, Margaret, Joseph, b. 1843, Benjamin F, b. 1845 Celie b.1847, and JamesThomas, b.1850. Except for Emaline, all the children were born in TN. Jefferson JORDAN was a dentist practicing in Chattanooga. He died from an overdose of ether during surgery. I do not know when he died or his age at death. I'm hoping that with a death certificate, there might be other information about his parents, his wife, etc.
