I found this information on Harold Ehlke that will allow you to request an obituary search from the Detroit Public Library. I am attaching information on how to request an obit search, including costs and a form to fill out. If you can't afford the $15 I occasionally go to Detroit's Burton Historical Collection and could look it up next time I go. Not sure when that will be, however. Probably sometime this summer.
