Matthews , 86, of Binghamton, died Sunday evening, April 24, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Matthews . She is survived by her children, John B. Matthews , Atlanta, Ga., Carol and Dardenne Tiffany, Vestal, Timothy and Terry Matthews , Chenango Bridge, David and Christine Matthews , Hawleyton, Diane and Kenneth Gehringer, Kutztown, Pa., Virginia and Robert Nordberg, Seattle, Wash.; her grandchildren, John Scott, Matt, Brahm, Mike, Jason, James, David, Lisa, Cyrus, Wyatt, Matthew, Emily; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, and a retired employee of Vail-Ballou Publishing Co. Dorothy was a portrait artist and enjoyed gardening. Funeral services will be held at the J.A.McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday at 10 a.m. Re v. Msgr. Lawrence Giblin will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
