Not in chicag Tribune am sorry an error was pointed out to me on my previous post for Francis (Frank) Frewen the date of birth was 1830 Ireland and he died in or near Chicago Illinois prior to 1860 his youngest son born 1856. He was studying Painting at the Art Institute. His wife was destitute after his death so probably no marker was put up where he was buried but I'm hoping a obit might be found.

I may be reading something wrong but how can you be looking for Francis (Frank) Frewen 1830 to ca 1851 when you say his son was born in 1856 My great grandfather Francis (maybe called Frank) Frewen came to America to study painting. He enrolled in the Art Institute in Chicago. He was born 1830 Castleconnell, Limerick, Ireland. He brought his family and landed in New York staying there a short time. He had one son born in New York in 1856 so he went to Chicago after that time and he disappears by 1859. because 1860 his wife is alone a widow and has given up custody to the daughters and my grandfather to a girls home and the oldest son (my great grandfather) is living on his own as a new boy on the streets, sleeping in boxes covered with newspapers to stay warm. The youngest is with his mom and she remarries Charles H Carman in Chicago.
