Could not locate his obit but could this person be related? John Jiles Ellis John Jiles Ellis, 84, a resident of Lake City, Florida died Monday, January 21, 2002 at the Shands at Lake Shore Hospital. Mr. Ellis was a real Son of a Confederate Soldier. He is the son of the late William Riley and Ola Ellis. He was a native of Columbia County and a member of the Salem Primitive Baptist Church, Lake City. He had lived in Lutz, Florida for most of his life. He is preceded in death by Gladys Ellis, two Sisters: Mary Jane Bryant and Gertrude Crews Three Brothers: Riley Ellis, Ben Ellis and Grover Ellis. Mr. Ellis was a Kind, Loving and Caring man who enjoyed his family and friends, working outside and tending his garden. Survivors include one daughter: Betty (Trez) Neeley, Lutz, Florida, three grandchildren: Jiles David (Donna) Neeley, Lutz, Florida, Debbie (Jim) Garcia, Indian Shores, Florida and Danny(Wendy) Neeley, Lutz, Florida.
