    3. HBH 1890 August 18 KEATING Bella Bella KEATING, a little girl of eight years of age, has been missing from her father's residence in Dickens Street since 8.30 o'clock on Friday evening. She had been to church at St. Mary's, and after having a cup of tea on her return home, went out and never returned. The girl's mother is dead, but her father has been scouring NAPIER in search of her during the whole Saturday and yesterday without result. The matter has been reported to the police, and telegrams have been forwarded to all outlying stations. The father can advance no explanation of the occurrence, except that he has a married daughter at TAKAPAU whom the child was anxious to join, and that the latter may have gone out with some vague idea of finding her way to the bush. The missing girl is very small for her age, and wore a black and white dress and red pinafore when last seen.
