CARLILE, who occupied the chair, in a few felicitous remarks expressed the general regret at the removal of Mr PREECE to Kaiapoi, and begged his acceptance of a packet containing a gold watch and a cheque. Captain PREECE was requested to have a suitable inscription engraved on the watch.......
