HBH 1890 APRIL 2 Dr MACLEOD Mary E CAMERON and Mary MANSON, the two ladies that the police authorities of New South Wales charge Dr John MACLEOD with marrying are at present both in Sydney. The information upon which the warrant for the arrest of Dr MACLEOD was issued by a magistrate in Sydney was sworn by Mary E CAMERON, who came over from America to New South Wales for that purpose, and in her sworn information she alleges that Dr MACLEOD married her at S LOUIS, on the 8th of May, 1859, his former wife, to whom he was married on July 13th, 1872, being then alive. Mrs MANSON is well connected, her sister being the wife of an ex-Colonial Secretary of New South Wales. Mrs CAMERON, who sought to have Dr. MACLEOD arrested, and taken to Sydney, is with her family staying at the GROSVENOR Hotel in that town.
