Judy Weller A woman named Jessie JOHNSTON, a resident of CLIVE, appeared at the S.M. Court yesterday morning to answer a charge of having no lawful visible means of support. The woman presented a wild and haggard appearance, and was obvviously "not quite herself." Mr TURNBULL decided to remand the woman for a week for medical examination. Mary BURKE, another unfortunate somewhat similarly situated, was ordered to pay £1 and costs or go to gaol for seven days for dunkenness.
