HBH 1896 March 3 4 ORMONDVILLE Ormondville correspondent writing yesterday says: - Mr WEST's house was at once time in great danger, but fortunately escaped. On Saturday night the fire came through the big railway cutting near Mr LEACH'S and the bell of the Wesleyan chapel was rang as an alarm. Among those who homes have been burnt are: - Messrs WRIGHT of MAKOTUKU, and BECKET, JESSEP, P. GUNDERSON, and C.SMITH, of NORSEWOOD. This morning the bridge near HEIGH'S on the Danish line, was on fire, but the fire was put out before any great damage was done.
