HBH 1896 March 2 2 Wanderers' Club There is every likelihood of the forthcoming sports meeting of the Wanderers' Club on the 21st being a most successful one numerous entries are coming in, while Mr J.W.JONES of Christchurch, reputed the fastest rider in New Zealand, and present holder of the New Zealand records from half mile to five miles, has announced his intention of competing and trying to win the Hawke's Bay Provincial championship. Mr W.H. SMALL of Patangata, Messrs FRASER, PETERSEN, and JOURDAIN of the local riders, and several others are already in hard training for the events.
