    3. HBH 1896 Feb 27 2 COURT At the S.M. Court yesterday morning before Messrs. LYNDON and BLYTHE J' P's. Annie PRESTON was charged with being a rogue and a vagabond. The police gave a bad account of the woman who had been convicted 14 times previously, and who had just served nine months on a similar charge to that brought against her. The Bench sentenced the accused to 12 months' imprisonment. Frank FRETER, a runaway sailor and companion of the woman, was charged with having no visible means of support and resisting the Police in execution of their duty. On the first charge he was sentenced to one month's imprisonment, and on the second to two months, the sentences to be cumulative.
