Michael, I do not think that I replied to your e mail, & I apologise. We have sold our property to move back to Waipawa, & time & computer sort of slip by. The name Michael does not show in my family, however, I was researching for a man in the USA, who had family in NZ. In about 8 weeks time, we should have unpacked all my research stuff much of which is stored. But, the name Michael, does not ring a bell. PHAIR is such an unusual name in N.Z., however, there seem to be at least 4 different unrelated families, who arrived in the 1800's, from both England & Ireland.
