HBH 1892 Sept 9 Napier Fire Brigade The quarterly inspection of the Napier Volunteer Fire Brigade was held last night. There was a good muster, and the men and plant passed a very satisfactory examination by the Fire Inspector, Mr W. MILLER with Superintendent WATERWORTH in the chair the annual meeting was then held to nominate officers. Prior to the nominations Messrs Joseph ROSS and W. EDIER were proposed as members of the brigade. The following nominations were then made: - Sub-Superintendent-Mr J.G.GILBERD Senior Foreman-Messrs: W. HARTLEY, P M'CORMICK, G.ROBSON. Second Foreman-Messrs HARTLEY, ROBSON, T.EXETER, M'CORMICK Third foreman-Messrs: M'CORMICK, ROBSON, EXETER, W.WHITE and HARTLEY Hon Secretary and Treasurer-Mr. R.C.LAWS Committee-Messrs: COWLRICK, M'CORMICK, HARTLEY, STEEVENS, SIMMONDS, FOTHERGILL, EXETER, ROBSON. It was decided to hold the annual social on the 6th of October.
