    3. HB Herald, Thurs. June 14, 1894 Death - NAPHTALI - At his residence, Bower-street, Napier, Hyman NAPHTALI, aged 28 years. The funeral will leave his late residence to-morrow (Friday). The time will be stated in to-morrow's issue. Friends will please accept this intimation. The late Mrs H.G. SPACKMAN, whose death at Gisborne is announced in our telegraph columns, leaves three young children. Mr SPACKMAN has the widest sympathy of Napier people in his bereavment. The City Saloon business conducted by Mr EAGLETON has been removed to one of the brick shops opposite the Bank of New South Wales. The decorative painting on the window, executed by Mr COTTON, has been much admired. A meeting was held at the Napier fire station last night to form a new fire brigade, the old one having disbanded. The following were appointed:- Superintendent, Mr T. WATERWORTH Sub superintendent, Mr J.G. GILBERD Senior Foreman, Mr W. HARTLEY Second Foreman, Mr W. WHITE Third Foreman, Mr C. SIMMONDS Committee, Messrs S. COWLRICK, W. HARTLEY, H. FAULKNER, and W. WHITE Secretary and treasurer, Mr W. GRAY. The committee subsequently met and made the following appointments:- First engineer, Mr T. FOTHERGILL Second engineer, Mr J. EDLIN Branchmen, Messrs R. LAWS, S. COWLRICK, W. CASTLE, H. FAULKNER, W.
