    3. HB Herald, Wed. June 27, 1894 The special annual service in connection with St. Augustine's Church will be held this evening at 7.30 o'clock. The Dean of Waiapu will preach. Mr T. SLADE will sing a solo during the evening. Waipawa - The coroner has gone to Norsewood to hold an inquest on the body of Mrs Edward HANSEN, who died very suddently yesterday. It appears that deceased was confined a fortnight ago, and had partly recovered, and was about on Sunday, but felt a bit unwell. On Monday morning she was apparently all right, and was sitting up in bed, when she suddenly lay back and expired. There is at present nothing to indicate the cause of death. No doctor has been in attendance, but a Mrs SWAINSON acted as nurse. Mr WILKINSON, organist at St. Mary's, Waipukurau, in trying to cross the Waipawa river on Sunday morning, got a good wetting in an ineffectual attempt, and had eventually to go round by the traffic bridge. Woodville - The Courthouse had a very narrow escape from total destruction by fire this morning at a quarter to 8 o'clock. Mr W. M'KIBBIN when going down to his shop noticed the Chourthouse chimney on fire, and immediately gave an alarm........Although no flame was to be seen the whole of the inside of the building was full of smoke.....all or almost all the things inside were saved. Nothing is known at present as to how the fire occurred, the constable in charge (Mr TREANNOR) being away at the time........
