    3. HB Herald, June 7, 1894 Messrs BAKER and TABUTEAU yesterday offered for sale by auction lot 3, part of town section 311, Hastings-street. The section, which has a frontage of 33 feet by a depth of 100 feet, has on it a four-roomed cottage, and the property was put up at auction subject to a mortgage of £200. The property was bought in by the mortgagee, Mr J.G. GILBERD. Yesterday morning at Hastings Mr H. NAPHTALI sustained a serious shaking and severe injuries to both legs through being knocked down by a baker's cart. The boy in charge of the cart was driving at a rapid rate over the railway crossing at Heretaunga-street, and Mr NAPHTALI, who was crossing the road, was knocked down. An information against the boy for reckless driving was at once lodged, and several persons who saw the affair came forward and volunteered their evidence. The case will probably be heard on the 14th instant.
