    3. I have had a quick search through the rootsweb database and came across a few queries regarding the Bissons from Hawkes Bay. Philippe Bisson and Esther Louisa (de Gruchy) emigrated to NZ from Jersey in 1874 with their three children Phillip, Louisa and Adolphus. They settled in Otane where they had a bootmakers shop. Adolphus died two months after arriving in NZ. They had more children, Elvina, Mary Jane and Walter. John de la Haye and his family also came over with the Bissons. Philippe and John were cousins. On the Bisson passenger ticket is also a John Blampied however I do not know if he is related. The Bissons seemed to move frequently and also had a bootmakers shop in Vogel St Woodville and Hastings St Napier. Philippe (also known as Phillip) and Esther Louisa de Gruchy were my great great grandparents. Does anyone know of any other information regarding the Bissons of Otane/Hawkes Bay? Or any other living relatives? PS, Love the daily info that gets sent through each day.
