HB Herald, Fri. June 14, 1894 At the Hastings Police Court yesterday, before Dr. LINNEY and Mr W. BEILBY, Justices, W. CHEER and G. MACDONALD were each fined £5 and costs for killing native game with intent to sell it without a license. Papara MOKONUI, for using abusive language to a railway official, was fined 10s and costs and expenses amounting to £2 8s 5d. Sydney NORTH, for driving after sunset a vehicle not carrying a light, was fined 5s and costs. Walter ADAMS, similarly charged, was also fined 5s and costs. Taranaki Te UA was also fined a similar amount for driving a vehicle without a light. Urupeni PUHARA, for keeping an unregistered dog, was ordered to register it and pay a fine of 5s and costs.
