HBH 1890 May 22 Local A well attended meeting of the Napier Rowing Club was held at the Criterion Hotel. Mr W J TABATEAU in the chair. A election for a captain was held and Mr R J HOGG resigned A deputy Captain required for Mr H ROCHFORT who had left for Dunedin Two nominations were taken for Messrs S R KENNEDY and J H SMITH Ballot resulted in the election of Mr KENNEDY Mr E H WOLEDGE was the only nomination received for Deputy-captain and he was duly elected. Mr HOGG was presented with a silver locket suitably inscribed.
