HBH 1890 June 06 O'NEILL- CROSS-DUNCAN Mrs Mary O' NEILL, a charwoman, who was engaged from 1871 until quite recently in assisting to clean up the Parliamentary Buildings, has petitioned for relief, on the grounds that while in the service she met with an injury to her knee which has incapacitated her from other employment Thomas CROSS charged with being drunk. There was special parade of the NAPIER fire brigade last night, the occasion being the annual visit of the Government inspector, Mr DUNCAN, to inspect the fire engine.
