    3. HBH March 15 1890 Telegraphic SHIPPING MELBOURNE-Friday Arrived yesterday-MANAPOURI from BLUFF Per Press Association AUCKLAND-Friday The R.M.S. TAINUI from LONDON via TENERIFFE, CAPETOWN and HOBART, arrived in the harbor late this afternoon. Passengers for NAPIER:- Mesdames CARR and HORNBY. Miss CARR, and Masters CARR (2); Messrs C W CARR, W C HARTILL, W Mc FARLANE, J Mc FIE, J ROBBIE, C ROBSON, J HORNSBY. SHIPPING NOTE On leaving LONDON the TAINUI was detained 20 hours at PLYMOUTH owing to a heavy S.W. gale. The passage out was altogether a very pleasant one. During the voyage the usual shipboard amusements were indulged in. The Right Rev. Dr MURRAY, Bishop of MAITLAND, and the Earl of RANFURLEY, landed at HOBART. Mrs RICHARDS, wife of the Rev E RICHARDS, a passenger for LYTTELTON, died of consumption on the 21st of February, and was buried at sea. The TAINUI is still commanded by Captain BARLOW. Mr Frank Mc KENZIE remains as purser. Dr R H COOK is now surgeon, and Messrs John KELLY and A WALKER have been appointed chief and second engineers. Messrs EVANS, LEVACK, E SANDERS, AND ENDALL are fleet, second, third and fourth officers. The TAINUI will take in a cargo of frozen meat here, and will probably leave about Sunday for the South, and probably for WELLINGTON Sailed-Rose M. for NAPIER
