We are glad to learn that a most skilfully conducted operation promises to prove a complete success, and relieve our respected local medico of a serious complaint from which he has suffered for years. A lad named Frederick CASSIN, in the employ of Mr INGLIS, Hastings, met with a serious accident there yesterday afternoon. He was riding a rather fresh horse, and the animal bolted with him, throwing him violently to the ground. He was picked up insensible and conveyed home, where he was attended by Drs. HAIGH and NAIRN. It was found that in addition to a severe shaking he had sustained a fractured collar-bone. The fracture was successfully reduced, and he is progressing as well as can be expected. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No virus found in this incoming message.
