HBH 1892 May 21 BURDETT The following telegram from Auckland published in the Wellington papers of last Thursday: - A well known recipient of charitable aid, Sir Charles BURDETT, Bart., who for the past two years has been an inmate of the Costley Home for the Aged Poor, died at that institution on Tuesday night. Deceased was the seventh Baronet of Benthwaite. He was formerly a lieutenant in the 54th foot, and afterwards in the Second Staffordshire Militia. About 30 years ago he came to New Zealand, and fought in the Waikato War.
