HBH 1892 Sept 5 2 MALLAHOND Mr J. MALLAHOND, of Parua Bay, WANGAREI, is memorialising the House to create an Aged Provident Fund, from which all people over 60 would be entitled to draw 10s per week. His proposal is that £1000,000 be contributed from the Consolidated Fund, and a similar Fund be levied on those engaged in the drink traffic, as it is the cause of most poverty, to form the nucleus of the fund.
