    3. For those who wish to look for grave that may have been 'removed' due to motorway constructions. There are 2 walls of rememberance in the Symonds st Cem. The first is to the right of the Grafton bridge, Symond st end, and the second at the rear of the Jewish area on K rd. (you need to walk a far as you can go without falling on the motorway). Both walls have verying amounts of information taken from the headstones, and some relocated headstone are nearby. Also for those that died after c1886 when Waikumete Cemetery opened they may have qualified to be intered with family already at Symonds st. Check out the listings at Auckland Public Library Website. I have never been able to find his grave or source any information as to where he maybe buried. There were a large number of graves moved from Symonds Street / Grafton cemetery to allow the construction of a new motorway. (family history says that his grave may have been one of those)Waikumete Cemetery opened c1886....Symonds Street cemetery may have closed about then???
